I am deeply grateful to have had the opportunity to follow my calling and retrain from my initial career in physical metallurgy to become a counselling psychologist.  I value the trust placed in me over the past 25 years by clients from diverse backgrounds, challenged by a range of mental health concerns of varying degrees of severity.

Individual, family, couples therapy Apply therapy to understand, predict and alleviate maladjustment, disorders, disabilities, co-morbidities, addictions and discomfort as well as to promote human adaptation, adjustment, and personal development.  Provide a variety of psychological interventions such as cognitive behavior therapy; dialectical behaviour therapy; acceptance and commitment therapy, systems therapy, positive psychology, BWRT and pain management therapy.

Comprehensive Group Therapy (adult and adolescents) Presenting on different topics (psychoeducational, supportive and therapeutic) and form part of ongoing group therapy program development and planning

Psychometric Assessments for different clinical populations in the hospital. Involved in the assessment process by providing psychological evaluations and assessments and then formulating diagnoses and interventions.

As part of a Multidisciplinary-Team we confirm or refute the clinical impression and differential diagnosis of abnormal behavior such as depression, psychosis, personality disorders, dependency, dementia etc. and non-psychiatric issues e.g. relationship conflicts, cultural difficulties, compliance, learning differences, educational potential, career interest etc. we also identify the treatment needs, assign appropriate treatment and give prognosis, monitor treatment over time, and ascertain risk management.
