My Therapeutic Style: I believe the potential for change is rooted in a safe, respectful, nurturing environment. This safe space allows clients to pause, be reflective and intentional about shifting from disharmony to harmony. My style in therapy is authentic, collaborative and engaging. Critical thinking and complex problem-solving skills help determine the best course of action for individual patient care.
Therapeutic Model: I use an integrative approach which incorporates aspects from various therapeutic modalities as directed by the client’s presenting challenge. These tend to include systemic psychology, psychodynamic therapy, narrative psychology, solution focused therapy, interpersonal therapy, CBT, ACT, DBT, BWRT, EMDR and positive psychology
25 years experience in working together with clients older than 18 years facing: depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, adjustment challenges, self-destructive behaviour patterns, personality disorders, substance abuse, relationship challenges and work related issues.
